Introducing Robolab

This topic introduces the idea of object orientated programming. This is where you will link Objects together to make programs.

Here you will be using Lego software to write programs using objects that operate RCX carts built from special Lego pieces. Some examples can be seen on the right.

What you should be able to do!

• Start the Robolab Software..

• Transfer programs to the RCX Cart and know how to 'Run' them.

• Know the meaning of several icons.

• Know how to link icons together to make complete programs.

• Know how to get the cart to move forwards and go backwards.

• Know how to attach and operate lamps.

• Know how to attach touch and light sensors.

• Know how to get the cart to turn corners.
