2. Inserting Images into Presentations

A picture is worth a thousand words, they say. In PowerPoint it's a lot easier to add a picture than type 1000 words. Let's see how.

WARNING WARNING

The movies have been made on an Apple Computer. There are some differences with the PC, but these can be solved by using the Menus along the Top of the program window.

To Insert a Image on a PC

1. Click on the Insert Menu.
2. Choose Picture
3. Slide to the right and choose From File.
4. Navigate to where your file is located - inside your Animal Kingdom folder.
5. Select your picture and click Insert.

Simples!

 

What you have to do!

1. Open your Animal Presentation. - double click on animal presentation.ppt file
2. Click on the second slide and insert the Lion Picture.
3. Tick Off Exercise 2 in your Progress Grids.

 

 

What you can now do!

• Insert an image file into a presentation

Taking it further, with a little experimenting I can:

• Change size of picture within slide

• Apply effects to change the display of the picture, such as setting a shadow or changing colour settings

• Crop or cut a part out of a picture
