7. Inserting and Formatting Graphics

Insert Graphics

Sometimes it is very useful to include a picture or a graphic in your document.  You may want to make the document more attractive or use an image to make sure you get the attention of the reader!!

Pictures or graphics could come from many sources such as clip art, a scanned photo or an image from the Internet.

  1. Watch VIDEO 10 and follow the steps shown in the video using your copy of The Lion King.doc that you used in an earlier exercise.
  2. Copy either one of the pictures below - right click on the image and choose copy. On Apple Ctrl+Click. And then Paste into your document.
  3. If you are feeling confident try putting in both pictures.
  4. Save your file.

(The sound might be become separated from the pictures - don't worry you'll get the general idea of how to insert pictures. You can also use the 'scrubber bar' to wind forwards & backwards through the movie.)

Use these images for your file.

What you have to do!

  1. Open your copy of the The Lion King.doc.
  2. Watch Video 10 and insert either or both of the pictures from the above table into the document.
    • Use Copy and Paste, rather than Drag and Drop as you don't have these files in a separate folder.
