Rontown Rovers is a football team. At the bottom of this page is a set of four web pages about the Rontown Rovers. You are asked to make a website using suitable web authoring software then add hyperlinks, audio and video. You may use a wizard or template


 
WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO!
1       MAKE PAGES

Create the web pages. Use coloured text on an attractive, preferably light, background. Include your own name on the first page. Your teacher will tell you which graphics files to use. Do not include hyperlinks at this stage. Try to make your pages the same as the ones shown but do not be concerned about minor differences. Save the pages. Correct any mistakes that you make.


 
2       MAKE HYPERLINKS

Describe how to make a hyperlink from Callum Barker’s name on the home page to Callum Barker’s page. Make the hyperlink for him and the other players. From each player’s page, make a hyperlink to the home page. Save the pages. Correct any mistakes that you make.  
   
Answer questions 3, 4, 7 and 8 on a separate sheet of paper with your name and task title on it.

Describe how you will add audio to a page. Add audio (and text if appropriate) to one page after discussing with your teacher which audio you will add where. Save the page.

Describe how you will add video to a page. Add video (and text if appropriate) to an existing or new page after discussing with your teacher which video you will add where. Save the page.

Insert all hyperlinks including links from the rectangle hotspots.


 
6       GET PRINTOUT

Get a printout of the first two web pages.

 

 
7        SUGGEST IMPROVEMENT

Look at your web pages. Write down one way in which they could look better.


 
8        WRITE INSTRUCTIONS

TIP 1
Copy the rontown rovers folder from the Subjects folder --> Computing folder --> S34 folder into your Documents folder on the network drive. Use this folder for your website files

TIP 2
Keep it simple. Don't worry about graphics, fancy buttons and the like. This might be something you can discuss in your report.
