8. Inserting Rows and Columns

Spreadsheets must be able to change over time. Sometimes you will want to add in a new item of stock, for example or remove an item. These operations will require the ability to add and delete rows and columns in a spreadsheet.

This is a relatively straightforward exercise in Excel.

What you have to do!

1. Download the file shop sales.xls,
   
   
   
   
2. Watch Movie 10 and using the method shown;
   1. Add a new column after column C
   2. Give the new column, the heading VAT Cost
3. Save your file.

Mark off Exercise 12 in your Progress Grids

• Add and Delete Rows and Columns in your spreadsheet.
