Human Computer Interface (HCI)

Definition:

The Human Computer Interface (HCI) refers to the way in which the computer and the user communicate.

Use the "Player" to look at some different HCI's. Each uses a slightly way of interacting with the user. The slide show begins with some old style HCI's and ends with some of the most recent. Which would you prefer?

Customising the HCI

The Human Computer Interface can be customised in most Operating Systems to suit the needs of the user. This allows the user to have control over how the HCI looks and what programs they can access quickly.
