1. Introducing Graphics

gloabal expert systems

'A picture paints a thousand words' is what they say.

This topic aims to provide you with the skills to make those pictures.

Graphics and Graphic Design, the way of presenting graphics or images, can be used in an extremely wide range of situations.

It varies from straight forward illustrations and photographs, to posters, magazines, advertising, product design and even web design.

In the past, all this work was completed by hand by artists. Now, much of it is done on computer where photographs can be easily combined, or effects applied to make exciting challenging images.

Todays graphics programmes like Fireworks are extremely powerful. To work through all that they can do, would take the rest of the year. So the remainder of the exercises in this topic build's upon the Graphics Unit in S2 and re-enforces some of the essential skills you need to know about for Standard Grade.

Don't worry though. If you need to know more you can return to the extensive list of S2 tasks by clicking here. Or you can do a search for graphics tutorials on the web. There are thousands out there, which will show you how to do almost anything.
