Practice: Movies Database

More Adding, Deleting, Editing, Searching & Sorting Records

Use what you have learnt in the previous exercises to complete the following exercise. You may have to watch previous videos to remind yourself of how and what you have to do.

Answering some questions will require:

  1. A sort;
  2. or a Search
  3. or both.

 

What you have to do!

Open the MOVIES database file and answer the following questions in Exercise 13 in the General section of your progress grids.

  1. How many 18 certificate movies are in the database?
  2. How many movies are rated either Poor or Average?
  3. Write down the ID of the movie that is the longest in terms of time in the database?
  4. How many romantic comedies are in the database?
  5. How many family comedies released between 1960 and 1985 are stored in the database?
  6. How many movies lasting longer than two hours are either action or drama?
  7. How many movies lasting longer than two hours are classified as being both action and drama?
