Computer Systems - Software: Detailed Content

Operating Systems are programs that makes all the hardware attached to the 'computer' work. It also controls the memory and handles file storage and security of the system.

There are a number of different operating systems. Linux and Windows are well known. Apple Computers have their own and Google are begining to develop Android which is becoming popular on phones.
